These photos were taken at Crater Lake South viewpoint areas by MrK. He writes: "While both lodges are closed in the winter the park still sports a facility on the south rim open to the public other than the gift shop. Even with a fresh coat of snow and upper 30° temperatures in early November, the restrooms featured radiant ceiling heat that kept the mens room very warm."

The National Park Service summarizes the park's attractions as follows: "Crater Lake inspires awe. Native Americans witnessed it form 7,700 years ago, when a violent eruption triggered the collapse of a towering volcano. Scientists marvel at its purity: fed by rain and snow, it’s the deepest lake in the USA and perhaps the most pristine on earth. Artists, photographers, and sightseers stand in wonder at its blue water and stunning setting. Come visit, and be amazed!"
