These pictures were sent in by PH. He writes: "The Great North Run is arguably the biggest half marathon in Great Britain and in 2012, there were 55,000 participants. The route is from Newcastle-upon-Tyne to South Shields in the north east of England. The Finish of the race is at a spectacular location by the sea and attracts a vast number of spectators, friends and families of the runners. These urinals were situated by the Information point and there were also female urinals in a separate tent next door which obviously could not be photographed; ladies were handed small triangular shaped paper funnels upon entry."
