The restrooms host thousands of visitors a month and are always spotless. This level of the State House is called the "crypt" although no one is buried here. Crypt may refer to its underground location and the overall look and feel which has remarkably high masonry arches and vaulted ceilings. The space was originally built for horses and their buggies and grooms. The State House is a working facility where the House and Senate meet and everyone is welcome. The State House is also a museum and permanently hosts unique paintings, sculptures and living history."
