This photo was submitted by JC. He writes: "The Notre Dame basilica in Marseille sits atop the highest hill overlooking the harbor and the city and is visited by thousands of people daily. The toilets are down a stairway from the main concourse surrounding the basilica. As you walk down the stairs these urinals are in direct view through the doorway. Women have to walk down the same stairs, pass the same doorway and go to the left.

"I can’t tell you the number of places I’ve been in France where urinals are in view of open doors or open doorways. I am not offended by this but it is an interesting cultural phenomenon illustrating the very casual attitude of the French about male urination."
