"Red used to refer to The Party in Russia; now it means a party - well at least it does at this relaxing New York-style lounge bar high up on the 27th floor of a central city skyscraper [called Tower 2000]. Named for its scarlet décor and red-lit interiors, and replete with a piano playing lounge singer, it's famous for its spectacular views through glass walls of the city below. Popular with a post-work crowd, it gets packed post-dinner too, when regulars come for the romantic setting, strong vodka cocktails and a chance to sing along to the Russian version of Billy Joel behind the keys. The mirror-and-glass men's room, with its heart-stopping view of the city below, reminded us of the bathrooms in The Felix, in the Hong Kong Peninsula: not for those with vertigo."
