"Stories of Robin Hood's exploits were popular by the mid 1200s, suggesting that Mr. Hood was active in the late 1100s. From the town of Edwinstowe... [it is] a 15 minute hike [to] the Major Oak, estimated to be 800 years old. Legend has it that Robin Hood and his gang of thieves would gather under this oak before stealing from the rich, but that is unlikely, as this particular tree wasn't even in existence at that time.

Nor were these urinals around during Mr. Hood's time - whatever passed for a urinal in those days being long gone, unfortunately."
